A new fire station will be born in Boulay-Moselle, around thirty minutes from Metz, by 2027.
Monday December 2, 2024, on the occasion of the signing of the agreement between the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS) of Moselle and the community of communes of La Houve and Pays Boulageois, the site sign was revealed.

A new barracks 30 minutes from Metz
This new barracks will include 1 300 m2of premises. The land was acquired on rue du Capitaine-Maillard, at the edge of the roundabout which opens directly onto the D19.
Thanks to its location, the barracks should answer « to distribution objectives relief and rallying of volunteer firefighters », according to the SDIS of Moselle, because it serves the main ring roads and penetrating roads of the city, as well as the departmental roads D25 and D954.
A project costing almost 4 million euros
To represent oneself more concretely the scale of the project, here is the future operational unit of Boulay-Moselle in a few figures:
- 12 intervention vehicles;
- 1 300 interventions par an ;
- 60 firefighters;
- A section of 20young firefighters.
The total cost of building this barracks is3 885 000 €at the expense of the SDIS.
