This year in Dompierre (Orne), the elders' meal took on a particular shine, with a few days late, the guests were delighted to celebrate the 100 years ofAndré Leguedey.
For many years, André has held the position of dean of our commune and our welcome club, where he assiduously participated in various activities.
” We we all know Andréborn in Dompierre on October 1, 1924. André spent his entire life in a place called la Fromagerie, on the family farm. »
He has always lived in Dompierre
“He married in 1959 and perpetuate the family with two children Jean-Louis and Véronique. »
The latter was elected councilor in 1991, and took a lot of care of her grandparents.
André is always present in Dompierre's memory. “We all appreciated your discretionas well as your desire to communicate in a clear, simple and discreet way. »
He witnessed the arrival of electricity in the countryside. Agriculture being the main activity of the commune, with more than 25 dairy farms, André works as family help on exploitation during the German occupation, in order to escape compulsory work. He was then hired at the La Ferrière-aux-Étangs mine.
On the family farm
The couple moved into their parents' retreat at the Fromagerie. Exploitation evolves from horses to tractor, from manual milking to milking machine.
The arrival of the culture of corn silage was a major agricultural collaboration at that time: he played an active role.
In 1954, André passed his driving license, with the automobile developmentwhich has taken the place of walking, cycling and the train.
Everyone knows André
André is familiar with everyone, he approaches the past with great pleasure and good mood. He has always been blessed with a remarkable memory.
You always took part in club meetings, trips, etc. I thank you, André, for your dynamism, and I hope that longevity will not be a hindrance. You overcame obstacles and I am confident that you will still be with us for many years to come.
His centenary was celebrated, and a gift was given to him. THE birthdays Daniel Louveau (88 years old) and Kylian Pruvost (43 years old, municipal councilor) were also celebrated. The councilor would like to thank Annick Louveau for the kitchen and the members of the municipal council.
