Throughout the year, RATP and SNCF undertake renovation and development work resulting in total or partial traffic interruptions. Discover the disruptions coming this week to the metro lines, RER, trains and trams in Paris and Île-de-France.
Users of public transport in the Ile-de-France region are used to it. Every year, they must adapt to multiple works and disruptions in the metro and RER. Extension of lines, renewal of switches, maintenance of tracks or development of certain platforms… the reasons for this work are numerous and are not without consequences for travelers.
Regularly, the RATP and the SNCF thus announce total or partial traffic interruptions on certain metro and RER lines, with closed and unserved stations, or even the establishment of temporary termini. Here is the summary of the disruptions of this week.
Metro:
- Ligne 6 : On Sunday, December 8, all day, traffic will be interrupted between the Charles de Gaulle – Etoile and Trocadéro stations.
- Ligne 12 : Due to modernization work, traffic will be interrupted on all metro line 12, on Sundays December 8 and 15, 2024, from 10 p.m. to the end of service.
- Ligne 14 : traffic is interrupted until December 19, 2024: every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening, from 10 p.m.
RER :
RERC C :
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 11:40 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Javel and Saint-Quentin en Yvelines (works).
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 11 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Paris Austerlitz and Pont de Rungis (works). From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 11:10 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Paris Austerlitz and Juvisy (works).
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 11:40 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Versailles Château Rive Gauche and Javel (works).
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 11:40 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Paris Austerlitz and Dourdan / Saint-Martin d'Étampes (works).
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 11:40 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Av Henri Martin and Montigny Beauchamp / Pontoise (works).
- On Sunday December 8, from 11:50 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Paris Austerlitz and Dourdan / Saint-Martin d'Étampes (works).
- On Saturday December 7 from 11 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Paris Austerlitz and Juvisy (works).
- On Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, traffic will be interrupted between Pont de Rungis and Massy Palaiseau (works).
- From December 7 to December 8, traffic will be interrupted between Pont de Rungis and Massy Palaiseau (works).
- On Saturday December 7, from 11 p.m., traffic will be interrupted from Les Invalides to Saint Quentin en Yvelines (works).
- On Saturday December 7, from 11:40 p.m., traffic will be interrupted from Invalides to Versailles Château Rive Gauche (works). Replacement buses will be put in place.
RER D:
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 10:30 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Gare de Lyon and Melun, and between Gare de Lyon and Corbeil-Essonnes (works).
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 8:30 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Gare de Lyon and Melun (works).
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 11:20 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Gare du Nord and Creil (works).
- On Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, from 10:10 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Melun and Juvisy, and between Malesherbes and Juvisy (works).
Replacement buses will be put in place.
RER E:
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 10:30 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Haussmann – Saint-Lazare and Chelles – Gournay (works).
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 10:30 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Haussmann – Saint-Lazare and Tournan (works).
- On Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, from 10:30 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Haussmann – Saint-Lazare and Tournan (works).
- On Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, from 10:45 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Haussmann – Saint-Lazare and Chelles – Gournay (works).
Replacement buses will be put in place.
Transilien
Line H:
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 10:30 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Gare du Nord and Persan – Beaumont via Valmondois (works).
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 10:30 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Gare du Nord and Pontoise (works).
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 10:30 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Gare du Nord and Persan – Beaumont via Montsoult – Maffliers (works).
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 10:30 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Gare du Nord and Luzarches via Montsoult – Maffliers (works).
Replacement buses will be put in place.
Line L:
- From Tuesday December 3 to Friday December 6 from 10:30 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Suresnes Mont Valérien and Gare Saint-Lazare (works).
- Line N: Until December 17, every day from 11:45 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Gare Montparnasse and Versailles Chantiers in the direction of Dreux, Mantes-la-Jolie and Rambouillet (works).
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 10:20 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Gare Montparnasse and Rambouillet (works).
- From Saturday 7 from 4:30 p.m. until Sunday December 8, traffic will be interrupted between Épône – Mézières and Mantes-la-Jolie in the direction of Mantes-la-Jolie and Gare Montparnasse (works).
- On Saturday December 7, from 11:50 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Dreux and Gare Montparnasse (works).
- On Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, from 11:59 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Rambouillet and Gare Montparnasse (works).
- On Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, from 11:59 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Versailles Chantiers and Gare Montparnasse in the direction of Dreux, Mantes-la-Jolie and Rambouillet (works).
- On Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, from 11:59 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Plaisir – Grignon and Gare Montparnasse (works).

Line P:
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 10 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Gare de l'Est and Château-Thierry, and between Provins and Gare de l'Est (works).
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 10:30 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Gare de l'Est and Coulommiers (works).
- On Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, from 10:30 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Gare de l'Est and Coulommiers (works).
- On Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, from 10:50 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Gare de l'Est and Meaux (works).
- On Saturday December 7 and Sunday December 8, from 11 p.m., traffic will be interrupted between Gare de l'Est and Château-Thierry (works).

Line R:
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 10:45 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Gare de Lyon and Montargis, and between Gare de Lyon and Montereau (works).
- Monday 2, Tuesday 3, Wednesday 4 and Friday 6 December from 9:30 p.m., traffic is interrupted between Melun and Montereau via Héricy (works).
Replacement buses will be put in place.
Tramway
T1 :
- Until Monday March 31, 2025, traffic is interrupted between Noisy-le-Sec station and Escadrille Normandie-Niémen (works). Substitution buses are put in place. Replacement buses will be put in place.
- Until January 28, 2025, the stop is not served at Hôtel de Ville de la Courneuve (works).
T4 :
- From Monday 2 to Friday 6 December, from 9:15 p.m., traffic will be interrupted on the entire line (works).
- From Tuesday 3 to Saturday 7 December, until 5 a.m., traffic will be interrupted between Bondy and Aulnay-sous-Bois in both directions (works). Replacement buses will be put in place.
- For those who will have transport difficulties this week, know that improvements should be felt from December 15, 2024 for the RER C and on the N and U lines of the Transilien.
In all cases, users must find alternative solutions and routes by taking other lines, or even other means of transport such as the bus or the tramway. Throughout the duration of this work and closures, the RATP and the SNCF also regularly set up a substitute bus device.
