3 out of 4 clubs were eliminated this weekend, including Tom Thumb Cluses Scionzier.
No miracle unfortunately for Cluses Scionzier, eliminated from the French Cup by Troyes (Ligue 2). The Hauts-Savoyards were valiant but got knocked out, just like Chambéry and Rumilly-Vallières. FC Annecy is the only representative of the Savoie countries still in the running.
Cluses Scionzier shakes Estac
In Haute-Savoie, a beautiful atmosphere in the Arve valley for the little Thumb of Cluses Scionzier who welcomed Troyes, a Ligue 2 team. The Haut-Savoyards did not do poorly, far from it, but the hierarchy was respected. Estac won 1-0 and put an end to the Coupe de France adventure for Cluses Scionzier.
Chambéry and Rumilly Vallières eliminated
It's also over for Chambéry, a National 3 team beaten by Dijon (National) 2 to 0 and for Rumilly Vallières who were knocked out on penalties by the Lyonnais from GOAL FC (which also plays in National 2).
It barely passes for FC Annecy
The only survivor from the Pays de Savoie in this 8th round: FC Annecy. Qualification was sluggish for Annecy which had to go to penalties against Jura Sud, a National team. The Haut-Savoyards win on penalties 6 5.
