In December, the Robert Doisneau Cauvaldor social and cultural center offers two walks to end the year 2024. These walks will be accompanied by Florent Guinot, a specialist guide on the Limousin mountain. Open to all and free, upon registration. Tuesday, December 3, the march will take the group from Plachamp to Branty: meet at Place Germaine Moreau in Bretenoux at 1:30 p.m., or at 1:50 p.m. in front of the Laval-de-Cére town hall. This hike will take the group to the heights of the Vergnes valley, to discover the chestnut forest and the local heritage influenced by the nearby Auvergne. Hilly route of 7.8 km, with approximately 300 m of elevation gain.
Tuesday, December 17, stroll in Corrèze around Saint-Julien-Maumont: meet at Place Germaine Moreau in Bretenoux at 1:30 p.m. or 2 p.m. in front of the town hall of Saint-Julien-Maumont. This hike will introduce you to the village and commune of Saint-Julien-Maumont with the town, the Saint-Julien church, the hamlet of Lime and much more. 7 km hike, with an elevation gain of approximately 200 m.
