As part of the demonstration on November 30, around 2,000 farmers and wine growers gathered in . Everyone faces different problems. One of them owns a wine estate in Limoux. He agreed to testify about the difficulties he encounters.

In Cournanel, near Limoux, Pierre Jammet is responsible for the Jardins de la Colère. A wine estate that is still young but which in reality comes from an operation with Cournenal heritage for five generations of winegrowers. This Saturday, November 30, he joined around 2,000 sisters and brothers to voice his demands regarding the crisis the industry is currently going through.

He too is tired of demanding higher consideration from the State, particularly after the first national mobilization movement which took place last February. Requests for aid had been made but a later dissolution of the National Assembly, as well as an absence of government for several weeks, seriously delayed the potential measures.

“For my part, like many others, I am particularly suffering from the drought and the hail episodes that we have previously experienced, said Pierre Jammet. What's more, we are drowning in controls. At the same time, I am encountering labor problems.”

Farmers and wine growers from Aude but also from Hérault and took part in the demonstration this Saturday, November 30.

An observation noted by the president of the Young Farmers of Aude, Loïc Escourrou, noting that young people are less and less attracted to the sector given the multiple difficulties it faces.

On the other hand, Limouxin says it is less concerned by the EU-Mercosur free trade treaty. For wine growers distributing their products in South American countries, the text provides for the eventual elimination of customs tariffs. “I sell internationally. Obviously, it will be beneficial for me. But that doesn't stop me from encountering problems elsewhere as I mentioned. We're all in the same boat, the important thing is to stick together elbows”concluded Pierre Jammet.
