Sédhiou, July 7 (APS) – The Minister of Civil Service and Public Service Reform, Olivier Boucal, handed over, this Saturday, a batch of cleaning equipment to the association ”Volunteers for the property of Goudomp”, noted the APS.

The donation, consisting of 15 wheelbarrows, 20 shovels, 29 rakes and 20 garbage bins, was handed over on the occasion of the second national clean-up day.

Olivier Boucal also offered an envelope of 200 thousand CFA francs to the young volunteers of Goudomp.

He considers that the tools offered “are essential for young volunteers who are committed to maintaining the cleanliness of the streets, public squares and green spaces of Goudomp.”

He recalled that the aim of the national clean-up day is to mobilise the local community and raise awareness of the importance of cleanliness.

With this equipment, he said, young volunteers will be able to carry out regular cleaning campaigns and contribute to improving the environment.

The president of the association, Karim Diockou, expressed his deep gratitude to the Minister of Civil Service for this “essential donation”. “This gesture is of capital importance for the members of the association +Volunteers for the property of Goudomp+, who voluntarily commit to maintaining the cleanliness of the streets, public squares and green spaces of the region,” he said.

He promised that with the help of this cleaning equipment, the youth will carry out regular campaigns and actively contribute to improving the local environment. He added that the tools offered will also improve working conditions by providing protection against cleaning-related risks.
