“With Ali, we are friends for 30 years. When he set up this project with the DRAC, I responded favorably. We've been working on it since last December. » Anne-Marie Pottier and Ali Badri work every week at the Le Sacré-Cœur nursing home in Athis-de-l’Orne (Orne), as part of their program around tales: the essence of tales.

A work of the five senses

The objective is to work the five sensesover the weeks, through the reading of stories. “Today, we are going to discover oriental spices and Persian fables,” explains Ali Badri.

Tales are the common thread of the project, in order to make them work on their memory.

Storytelling show, percussion, spontaneous painting… The program allows to explore all the senses. An Iranian meal even pleased the participants.

Stimulate memory through tales

Professional storyteller, director, writer… Ali Badri has several cards up his sleeve: “I use all these areas to make people work the cognitive aspect. For example, last week, we talked about Lafontaine's fables. Residents remembered an entire fable, they knew it by heart. »

Songs, stories, fables… Everything is an excuse to remember and exercise the memory of the participants. These activities are reserved for people from adapted care activity centeraround fifteen residents accompanied by the care team.

An interactive show

Trained as a psychologist, Ali Badri manages to lead his event masterfully. “We have to go get them, it’s an interactive show. The residents respond and it becomes improvisation,” says the person concerned.

We are sometimes surprised by certain reactions, it's extraordinary. With music, we work on rhythm, in order to always be dynamic.

Families of residents are invited to participate in the event.

Supported by the DRAC and ARS Normandie, with Marielle Stinès, Anne-Marie Pottier and Ali Badri know the importance of these projects: “ it's a chance. »
