The driving license withdrawn for the biker who is in too much of a hurry. Ten speeding violations above 30 km/h
Ten excess speeds exceeding 30 km/h compared to the authorized speed were also noted by the police. This violation of the Highway Code results in fine of 135€the deduction of 3 points or even a license suspension in the event of a court judgment.
Officials also revoked the license of a motorist who was caught making a phone call while driving.
In addition, three overtaking on the right were penalized, while a driver was also subject to a fixed fine for concealing a plate.
6,000 speeding violations in 2023
In 2023, 6,000 speeding incidents were recorded by law enforcement (figures not taking into account automatic radar flashes, editor's note), 2,000 licenses having been suspended. “We are on the same basis this year,” noted last September the prefect’s chief of staff, Thomas Fourgeot.
