Anne Hidalgo out of the field, the race for Paris City Hall has officially begun. A few days after the capital city councilor announced he was giving up run for a third terma survey reveals the power relations between applicants and potential candidates. According to the Ifop-Fiducial institute, which carried out projections for Le Figaro et Sud-Radiothe Minister of Culture and mayor of the 7th arrondissement, Rachida Dati, would come first ahead of Senator Rémi Féraud.
The dispersed left hypothesis
The socialist president of the Paris en commun group, supported by Anne Hidalgo, will face the former first deputy mayor of Paris, Emmanuel Grégoire, member of the same political group. According to this survey, conducted among a sample of 931 people, a scenario in which Rachida Dati would be supported by Renaissance, Modem et Horizonsand Rémi Féraud designated by the PS, the current Minister of Culture would collect 29 % voices. The senator would place second, with 20 %integrating the support of Communist Party.
This projection suggests a division of the left. Environmentalists would rank in third place, with deputy mayor David Belliard (13%), while Rebellious Franceled by MP Sophia Chikirou would be fourth (11%). Behind, a string of right-wing or far-right candidates, such as Francis Szpiner (LR), Thierry Mariani (RN) or Sara Knafo (Reconquest!).
Rachida Dati would even obtain 37% in the event of support from LR, her former political family. The leader of the opposition to the Parisian executive would be ahead of the PS, the Ecologists, France Insoumise, the RN and Reconquête. Unless Gabriel Attal comes to disrupt the game by declaring himself a candidate.
Gabriel Attal still in high place
Already at the top of a previous survey carried out for The Parisianthe former Prime Minister enjoys significant popularity in Paris. In total, 42% of respondents indicated in the survey that he would make a “good mayor”. This is the highest rate, ahead of Rachida Dati.
If the former Minister of Education presented his candidacy, he would come well ahead of the first round with 35 % taking into account the support of LR and Macronie composed of Renaissance, Modem and Horizons. Rémi Féraud would collect 18%, David Belliard 15% and Sophia Chikirou (10%).
But this projection still remains purely hypothetical. For the moment, Gabriel Attal has not expressed his desire to launch into the battle planned for 2026.
