After 18 months of work, the Cateau-Cambrésis departmental museum has reopened its doors! Enlarged and modernized, it offers you a brand new tour route in which you will be able to admire the two paintings Window in Tahitimajor works of the master of color brought together for the very first time. Throughout the route, new digital tools will allow you to experience an immersive visit: chronological fresco, 3D tour of the Vence chapel…

Take advantage of your visit to also discover the temporary exhibition entitled “Henri Matisse, How I made my books”. In resonance with the donation of the books made in 2002 by Alice Tériade, this highlights a lesser known aspect of Matisse's work: his art of illustration.
