Since yesterday, a long swell from north-north-east to north has been on the coasts of our archipelago and is breaking quite strongly, according to Météo forecasters.

This continued yellow vigilance for waves-submersion mainly concerns northern Basse-Terre, from Deshaies to Lamentin as well as eastern Grande-Terre from Pointe des Châteaux to Port-Louis.

Powerful energy rollers will impact all exposed coastlines. En cause: a long, very energetic north swell with periods of around 18 to 20 seconds.
Localized submersion in low areas may also be observed.

Boat anchorages will surely be in demand. Caution is therefore required. This situation is expected to last until tomorrow, Friday, November 29, at the end of the afternoon.
