“There are derivative works, books, a collection of illustrations by a mangaka, we also have goodies, mugs, gift boxes, bags, and many other things”, lists Isabelle Constant, one of the creators of the manga store.

These Japanese books are all the rage and according to the creators of Japan2Yana, it was time to implement this concept in Guyana.

Open for three days, the manga store is already attracting the public. Aged 13, Raphaël came to take a look. “There is a choice, and a store with only manga and other products like mugs and figurines, that’s really nice”rejoices the teenager.

The Japan2yana store also wants to break the clichés around manga. No, manga is not just for children. “There is also a big part intended for older children, assures Isabelle Constant, one of the creators of the manga store. There are also more psychological and thoughtful manga, which will teach you a lot about Japanese culture.

In addition to the store located on rue du Général de Gaulle in Cayenne, there is also an online store.
