As part of industry week, Luc Van Ruyssel, director of the Matfer Bourgeat site, located in Longny-au-Perche (Orne) welcomed numerous elected officials on Wednesday November 20, 2024 for a visit to the company: Sébastien Jalletprefect of Orne, Sandy Lecoq-Espallargassub-prefect of Mortagne-au-Perche, Emmanuel Le Secqpresident of the CdC of Hauts du Perche, Christian Baillifmayor of Longny-les-Villages and Jean-Vincent du Lacdeputy mayor of Longny-au-Perche.
Established in the territory since 1967
World leader in equipment for the catering trade and luxury hotels, recognized for its innovations for over 200 years, Matfer Bourgeat is a group of 850 employees established in the region since 1967.
“The industry is no longer a world reserved only for men, it is an ecosystem where people live and the industry is evolving, 3D printing is now part of our profession”indicates Luc Van Ruyssel, director of the site.
Young people who came to discover careers in the industry
“Young people from college came to visit the company to discover careers in the industry; they should not hesitate to walk through the company doors,” says Luc Van Ruyssel.
Students from the university bachelor of technology (BUT) Mechanical Engineering in Alençon, from different colleges and high schools in the department, France Travail and institutions also came to visit the site.
The commune of Longny-les-Villages works in close collaboration with the company in various areas, including recently a roundabout in this industrial zone of Réhardières in order to facilitate traffic for the various companies present, including Matfer.
