The French state has just announced aid of 48 million euros for four departments affected by storm Aline and bad weather at the end of 2023. 20.3 million euros will be allocated for Hautes-Alpes
20.3 million euros granted to Hautes-Alpes. Françoise Gatel, the Minister responsible for Rural Affairs, Commerce and Crafts announced this Thursday, November 28, “exceptional financial support from the State to all the communities affected by storm Aline and the severe bad weather at the end of November-early December 2023”, of which the Hautes-Alpes are part.
The Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, the Alpes-Maritimes and the Ardèche also benefit from this state aid. Nearly half of these funds were released just for Hautes-Alpes.
“State support thus mobilizes 48 million euros of national credits in favor of the affected communities,” explains the ministry in a press release. Of all this financial aid, almost half is allocated to the Hautes-Alpes department. “15.6 million euros for the municipal block, and 4.7 million for the departmental council,” specifies the press release.
Conclusions expected at the start of the year
An inspection mission called “Retex-resilience” will see the light of day, led by Françoise Gatel, Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Minister of Climate and Risk Prevention, and by Annie Genevard, Minister of Agriculture, with the aim of: “to identify the guidelines for resilience plans to be proposed to authorities and local stakeholders”, we can read in the ministerial press release.
Analyzes and conclusions must be delivered between February and April 2025.
