The young man was arrested in the early morning of July 2. The next day, he was presented under arrest before the magistrate's court. The Landes rugby player was detained in Kordin prison. He would have spent about a month there. According to our information, his family paid a deposit to have him released from this correctional establishment and an apartment had been rented there, in the event that the young man's detention was prolonged.

The investigation is still ongoing. The defendant has pleaded not guilty since his arrest. Contacted, his lawyer, M^e Roberta Bonello Felice, insisted that her client “was innocent until proven guilty” and did not wish to make any further comments. The rugby player's family contacted our editorial team by email and indicated that they wanted to “let the procedure take place to its conclusion”.
