Aiguilhe. An Auvergne hotpot in Charentes-Maritimes.
This month of November, a delegation from the Aiguilhe twinning committee joined its twin town of Éguille-sur-Seudre in Charente-Maritime, to take up an unprecedented challenge: introducing the local dish of Auvergne stew to Very gourmet Charentais.
For the occasion, the convoy made up of eight members took nearly 100 kg of pork from Haute-Loire to the edge of the ocean. After preparation according to the rules of the Auvergne art, the famous hotpot was tasted by more than 220 guests who highly appreciated the quality of this gastronomy. This event once again proved the true understanding between the inhabitants of the twin cities and the satisfaction they have in getting together a few times a year.
On the news side, the twinning committee will offer tripe tasting on February 16 in the multipurpose room.
