The Minister of Urban Planning, Territorial Communities and Regional Planning, Balla Moussa FOFANA, announced a national competition aimed at rewarding the “cleanest neighborhood” in Senegal.
This initiative is part of the 7th clean-up day, scheduled for December 7.
In a statement made at the end of a day of work dedicated to the preparation of this event, the minister specified: “We are launching a challenge, a competition between the different districts of Senegal. And on the evening of December 7, on the occasion of Setal Sunu Gox Day, we will see which neighborhood has presented the most beautiful improvements in terms of its route.”
This edition, which will take place under the theme “Together for clean and beautified neighborhoods”, aims to mobilize citizens around the importance of cleanliness and beautification of urban spaces.
According to Balla Moussa FOFANA, the objective is to innovate by creating not only a clean urban setting, but also by making aesthetic improvements that meet the aspirations of residents.
The minister stressed that this day of citizen mobilization is an opportunity to strengthen collective commitment for a healthy and pleasant environment.
