More than eight months of work

The construction work, lasting 7 months, should begin in the summer of 2025. The new recycling center will therefore open its doors at the end of the first quarter of 2026. This new equipment will allow residents to come deposit for free various materials, objects, and plants so that they can be recycled or recovered.

“No treatment will take place on site. It is abouta depot and transit site : each type of waste will be sent to a recycling or recovery channel. Hazardous waste, such as paint or electrical appliances, will be stored in secure and airtight premises,” explains the Essonne town in a press release while specifying that a study is underway for the creation of a resource center in order to extend the life of certain objects.
