Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier. A young girl under observation. The socio-cultural space of Sud-Nivernais, faithful to its principles of welcoming school or professional training interns, offered an observation sequence, in a professional environment, to a young second-year student, over the period from Monday 17 to Friday 28 June.

Great opportunity

This immersion is a time offered to young people to discover a technological, economic and professional environment, in connection with teaching programs, particularly within the framework of career education.

For two weeks, Margot had the opportunity to discover the different areas of the structure: leisure center, adult senior activities, France services, reception of the public and partners or accounting. Her interventions, in the different leisure centers, gave her the idea of following the training for the Brevet d’aptitude aux fonctions d’animation (Bafa) to possibly land a summer job to finance her studies later (she aims to become a psychologist).

In September, she will return to the first year of high school, with specializations in theater, economics and philosophy/literature. This experience will provide an opportunity for educational feedback in the form of discussions with other students and to explain how the sequence supports or not her choice of direction and the pursuit of her study project or her professional aspirations. The structure was starting out a little into the unknown with this new system, but it has endeavored to offer an attractive program for discovering careers for the young woman.
