At the regional triathlon in Grenoble, Lou Neubauer distinguished himself by finishing in eighth place out of 140 youngsters entered. He was selected for the French League Cup.
Three minors of the athletics club traveled to Grenoble this weekend for the regional triathlon. Although the weather conditions were good, the triathletes had to contend with strong winds.
Anouck Coudert and Clémentine Habert finished in 75th place e tied with 84 points out of 150 ranked girls. Anouck returns with her three best performances of the season in the long jump 4.32 m, 11”33 over 80 meters and 8’21”20 over 2,000 meters. Clémentine does not beat her personal records but has a solid triathlon with 23.48 m in the discus, 7.25 m in the shot put and 8’02”31 over 2,000 meters.
Finally, Lou Neubauer ranks 8th e out of 140 boys’ juniors. He reached the podium at the end of the day where the best athletes were rewarded. Lou obtained 103 points with 31.18 m in the discus, 2’46”45 over 1,000 meters and smashed his hammer record with a throw of 43.51 m.
Following his performances this season, Lou was selected for a training course organised by the Rhône-Alpes-Auvergne league in Voiron (Isère) in mid-July and will take part in the Coupe de France des ligues, a national team competition.
