Cable theft complicates train traffic between Oise and Paris

SNCF traffic has been severely disrupted between Oise and since this morning after 25 cables were cut and set on fire near Pont-Sainte-Maxence around 3 a.m. last night. Trains to Paris from Compiègne are slow in both directions and no train was running between and Compiègne this morning and services on the line had to be provided by substitute buses. The SNCF does not expect a return to normal before tomorrow morning, and an investigation has been opened.
