A fire broke out at the end of the day on Tuesday, November 5, in a 120 m² detached house located on rue du 11-Novembre, in Biscarrosse. The alert was given around 6 p.m., mobilizing significant resources from the Landes firefighters to bring the disaster under control.
Rapid intervention and mobilization of relief
According to Sud-Ouest, to deal with this localized fire in the attic of the house, five intervention vehicles were dispatched, with a total of 23 firefighters from the emergency centers of Biscarrosse, Sanguinet and Parentis-en-Born. Thanks to their rapid and coordinated intervention, the firefighters were able to contain the flames, preventing any spread to other parts of the building.
Roof damaged but no injuries
Although the roof sustained damage, the fire was contained with no injuries reported. The sole occupant of the premises emerged unharmed and was able to be relocated by members of his family. The causes of the fire remain unknown at this time.
