Like their counterparts across France, Vaucluse farmers have decided to mobilize again in the face of the agricultural crisis. They announced it on their social networks, meeting this Wednesday, November 27 at 8 a.m. in front of the Vaucluse Chamber of Agriculture in Avignon to demonstrate their anger.
They had already organized a day of action in Avignon on November 18, blocking traffic in particular for part of the afternoon on the ramparts by dumping their anger and agricultural waste in front of the gates of the Vaucluse prefecture. As well as in Pertuis on November 22.
Their demands remain unchanged: they want “economic and cash flow measures to support farmers, drastic administrative simplification through government-led measures, and legislation to put entrepreneurial spirit back at the heart of agricultural policies. » I
They are also mobilizing against the possibility of signing a free trade agreement between the European Union and Mercosur, and want to “say stop to European and global inconsistencies, in order to restore ambition to European food sovereignty. »
