OTTAWA – In partnership with the National Hockey League, the Ottawa Senators today announced the team’s 2024-25 regular season schedule, which will kick off on Thursday, October 10 when the Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers visit Canadian Tire Centre. The game will mark the first time in club history that the Senators will open their season against the defending Stanley Cup champions. It will also be the first time the Senators will open their season against Florida.
The 2024-25 regular season will once again be played in an unbalanced format within the Atlantic Division as the Senators will face rivals Boston, Buffalo, Detroit, Montreal and Tampa Bay four times each, while playing Florida and Toronto three times.
With the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship coming to Ottawa this winter, the team will be on the road from Tuesday, Dec. 17 to Tuesday, Jan. 7, visiting nine different opponents: Seattle, Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Minnesota, Dallas, St. Louis and Detroit. The nine-game stretch will be the longest road trip in Senators history.
The 2024-25 82-game schedule includes home and away games against the league’s 31 other teams and concludes Thursday, April 17, when the Senators host the Carolina Hurricanes.

Highlights of the 2024-2025 calendar
- The Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers will be at the Canadian Tire Centre for the club’s home opener on Thursday, October 10, and again on Saturday, April 5.
- The Senators will host the defending Western Conference champion Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
– Division rivals Toronto will be at the Canadian Tire Centre once, on Saturday, January 25, while the Montreal Canadiens will be in town twice, on Saturday, February 22 and Friday, April 11.
– The team will host four home series of four games at the Canadian Tire Centre.
