Nightmare – This woman forgave an initial slap and then went through hell for a decade. Supported by an association in Marmande, she changed her life
For several years, she suffered domestic violence from her husband. This woman, who has now started a new life, testified about her ordeal to our colleagues on the site Actu.fr. Without the intervention of Annick Cornaggia, president of the SOS Accueil Femmes Enfants association in Marmande (Lot-et-Garonne), the mother assured that she would no longer be alive today.
However, the romance had started well. The woman describes her ex-husband as someone gentle and kind. The couple married in 2012. A few months later, a heated discussion provoked an initial violent reaction. He slaps her. She forgives him, but what she doesn't know is that this violent act will be the first in a long series. Her husband lives on social assistance and forbids her from working. Dependent, she regularly follows him to Algeria where he has had a house built. Trips which will end when CAF discovers their situation.
