To announce their demonstrations, the farmers of Gard compete in imagination. On Wednesday November 20, they launched Operation Chouette. This time, they published a press release shortly after 5 p.m., Monday, November 25, announcing Operation Alaska. This will take place Wednesday November 27 of the 6h in the morning.


Alaska (very) early

Gathered together, the leaders of the Young Farmers and the Departmental Federation of Agricultural Operators of (FDSEA) solemnly call for a massive, early morning mobilization.

The gathering must start at 6 a.m., in front of the main entrance of the local Chamber of Agriculture, located on route de Saint-Gilles in Nimes (Gard).

Several convoys of tractors fromAlèsof La Calmette and of Calvisson in particular should converge on the Chamber, from 4:30 a.m.

Asked by Actu.fr, the leaders of the Young Farmers of Gard did not wish to reveal the precise program of this day of demonstration.

“There will be no prolonged blockage of highways as was the case at the start of 2024. The planned operations will extend over the day of November 27, but not longer,” specified one of the members of the Gard union.

Gard unionists do not rule out “conducting other actions in the coming weeks, depending on the progress of ongoing negotiations and what we will get there,” concludes one of the members of the Young Farmers.​
