It is with deep sadness that the dean of Langourla (delegated commune of Mené, Côtes-d'Armor) lived its 99e and last birthday. His Raymonde had passed away two days earlier, on May 29, 2024, at the age of 93.
In recent months, health problems have arisen, and Jean Robert left us on November 15, 2024, joining his wife, after almost 74 years of union.
74 years of marriage
Jean Robert was born in Mérillac on May 31, 1925in a family of six children: four boys and two girls. The eldest of the siblings André, now aged 101, and the penultimate Odette, aged 92, are still alive.
As was common at the time, Jean met Raymonde Oger during a bal of nightand they married on October 16, 1950.
Together, they exploit the La Blanconnais farm in Langourla until 1987, the year of his well-deserved retirement.
Jean devotes himself to his garden and enjoys cycling trips with his long-time friends.
In the space of six months, their only son, Yannick, lost his parents. In pain, he sincerely thanks them for everything they have done for him.
