In the 1ere constituency of Val-d’Oise, there will be a triangular for the second round of the 2024 legislative elections. Indeed, the outgoing deputy Ensemble, Emily Chandler announced her retention, despite being behind the two other candidates. She is third, at 27.54%, ahead of Maximilian Jules-Arthur (New Popular Front) which obtained 30.80% and Anne Sicard (National Rally), leading with 33.65%.

To justify maintaining her candidacy, the outgoing MP declared: “Your trust obliges me. A third voice exists: that of the Republic and the Territory. In the refusals of the extremes, I will fight with you and for you. Together for the Republic and our Territory“. Emilie Chandler also indicated: “The mayors, the associations, the residents asked me to maintain my candidacy in the rejection of extremes. If there is only one territory left of the Republic, it will be ours.“.

This decision was commented on by the candidate of the New Popular Front, Maximilian Jules-ArthurHe addressed an open letter to all the inhabitants of the first constituency of Val-d’Oise: “Reaction to Emily Chandler’s irresponsible and dangerous decision. If I had been in 3e position, I would have withdrawn“. He added : “Emily Chandler, please step down immediately.“.
