TRIBUNE – If the bill tabled by LFI aiming to repeal the offense of “apology of terrorism” is unlikely to be examined, it is indicative of the compromise of Jean-Luc Mélenchon's party with Islamism, believes political scientist Renée Fregosi.

The bill relating to the repeal of the offense of “apology of terrorism” tabled on November 19 by the deputy of La France insoumise Ugo Bernalicis has little chance of being adopted, or even of being put to the order of the day of the National Assembly. However, its primary objective has been achieved: to attract attention and present LFI as a great defender of human rights. The explanatory memorandum immediately places this proposal under the moral aegis of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) which certainly does not hesitate to condemn France (a dozen times to date) for sometimes surreal reasons (but which nevertheless validated the ban on the wearing of the full veil in public spaces, which LFI of course did not note).
Because to affirm that France is a dictatorship…
