Lot-et-Garonne: 5,500 hunters have still not created their account in the Weapons Information System
Since 2022, the Weapons Information System (AIS) has been gradually deployed to replace the Agrippa application. Its objective is to improve the identification and traceability of legally held weapons and to facilitate all procedures related to their acquisition and possession, through total dematerialization of instruction procedures. To date, the SIA has successively been open to hunters (since February 8, 2022), then to sport shooters (since February 27, 2024).
Although nearly 95% of sports shooters have created their personal account, this is today only the case for 60% of hunters in Lot-et-Garonne. Thus, nearly 5,500 hunters have still not created their SIA account. However, article 8 of decree no. 2022-144 of February 8, 2022, relating to the individualized account of weapon holders in the SIA provides that all hunters and sports shooters who own weapons, ammunition or their elements must You must have created their account by December 31, 2024.
To create your personal account, you must have an email address. If this is not the case, the Prefecture services can be contacted to help you with this process (05 53 77 60 66 / 05 53 77 60 56 / 05 53 77 60 19). It is recommended to have an SIA account even if you only have a rifle from before 2011 (in case of theft, repair, etc.). If you have not created your SIA account, you will no longer be able to acquire or sell weapons. From then on, on December 31, 2024, you risk being stripped of your weapons.
