The Vannes club has made official the arrival of international legend Mako Vunipola. For his arrival in the Top 14, the team has secured the services of one of the most capped pillars in the history of English rugby.
English international pillar Mako Vunipola, 79 caps, has signed a two-year contract with Vannes, the Breton club announced on Tuesday, promoted to the Top 14 for the first time.
The fourth most capped pillar in the history of the XV de la Rose, the 33-year-old player arrives from the English club Saracens.

“In 13 seasons and 232 matches in the Sarries jersey, he will build up one of the most impressive records in European rugby.with five English championships (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2023) and three Champions Cups (2016, 2017, 2019), the Morbihan club said in a press release.
In the XV de la Rose jersey, Mako Vunipola won the Six Nations Tournament three times (2016, 2017, 2020), and achieved the Grand Slam in 2016.
The left prop also featured in two World Cups in 2015 and 2019 as well as three tours with the British and Irish Lions (2013, 2017 and 2021).
The Breton club had already announced the arrivals of winger Filipo Nakosi and second row Fabrice Metz, and the departure of Uruguayan centre Andrès Vilaseca.
