The end of the year is approaching and several works on the main roads of the Lyon Metropolis are coming to an end. Here are three roads that are now or will soon be accessible to vehicles.
- The Maréchal-Juin bridge already reopened to traffic
The structure has been reopened since Monday, November 25, after work to finalize the coating on the Maréchal-Juin bridge cycle path, in the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon. The work was carried out from November 18 to 22. As for the markings of the cycle path, they will be done by the end of 2024.

- The Vivier-Merle tunnel reopens Friday November 29
Starting tomorrow, Friday November 29, a reopening to automobile traffic of the Vivier-Merle tunnel is planned. Since the end of September, the Métropole de Lyon has been developing Voie Lyonnaise No. 2 inside the tunnel itself. This two-way cycle path replaces the left traffic lane and is separated from the roadway by a curb. However, safety measures at each end of the tunnel still need to be made to allow the opening of Voie Lyonnaise n°2.
- La Voie Lyonnaise n°7 delivered in mid-December
Several portions of the Vienne road are, as part of the development of Voie Lyonnaise n°7, made one-way. This is the case between rue Audibert and Lavirotte and rue Henri Barbusse, since the end of August. The Metropolis indicates that this section will once again be accessible to two-way traffic, in the first half of December. By mid-December, the work on this Voie Lyonnaise should be completed, but occasional interventions will still be carried out at the beginning of 2025 – without impact on traffic.
