Since October 31, 2024, Pointures has been located at 8 rue du Canard, in the heart of Toulouse. A workshop specializing in the creation of custom-made shoes and sneakers, there is a talent behind it: Jean-Emmanuel Pialoux.
After having graduated from a business school, having spent time at the seminary and finally giving up on becoming a priest, having been a management consultant, Jean-Emmanuel Pialoux created LBT (Le Bottier Toulousain) in 2018. He set himself the challenge of keeping the shoemaking profession alive in Toulouse. A successful bet and now its ambitions are expanding with Sizes. The artisanal know-how remainsbut Jean-Emmanuel is no longer alone in charge and he works with other craftsmen.
From shoes designed for astronaut Thomas Pesquet, to those of the Rose Festival by Big Flo and Oli, via jeweler Marc Deloche, prestigious collaborations follow one another and Jean-Emmanuel never tires of letting his creativity explode.
The Passion of Transmission
Pointures also presents a training program in sneaker creation which teaches all the steps: design, cutting, sewing, assembly and finishing. Each participant makes their own pair of custom-made sneakers, such as Air Jordans or Air Force 1s. The training is designed to address Skills Block 1 of the CAP Cordonnier-Bottier. 330 trainees are awaiting training. The profession has a future.
