According to information from RMC Sport, Xavi Simons has reached a salary agreement with Bayern Munich.

The future of the Dutch midfielder is now hanging on the decision of Paris Saint-Germain with whom the young player is under contract until June 2027. Within the Bavarian formation, Xavi Simons could receive a salary of 6 million euros, with bonuses that could increase his annual remuneration to 12 million euros gross. A tidy sum that would clearly have the 21-year-old number 10.

The attacking midfielder played 43 games and scored 10 goals last season for RB Leipzig, where he spent a year on loan. Not wanting to return to the French capital to continue his career, the Dutchman seems to have found a prestigious base in Germany. Behind the scenes, the Bavarian leaders will now have to find common ground with PSG.

PSG must make a decision

While Parisian coach Luis Enrique has clearly opened the door to him in recent months, Xavi Simons has explained that he wants to continue playing on the Bundesliga pitches. “I already feel at home (in Germany, editor’s note). I enjoy the time I spend here, I like playing here. I want to succeed and leave my mark on the club. In football, you can’t predict anything,” he said some time ago about his future.

In this case, Bayern Munich is not the only German club to be active in securing the services of the Dutch number 10. RB Leipzig would also like to extend his loan for an additional season. However, a definitive sale would offer PSG a good financial profit and should align with Simons’ aspirations. The ball is now in the Parisian team’s court and it will be up to them to decide.
