New business in Melun: Jojo’s Dough has opened its doors, a shop selling ultra-gourmet cookies!

In the street Rene Pouteau in Melun (Seine-et-Marne), and more precisely at the level ofold Jules shopit is no longer clothes that are sold, but more delicious things : of the generously filled cookies. The Jojo’s Dough brand organized a Thursday, June 27 grand inauguration in presence of the brand’s creators.

An adventure full of success

Josie and Jozefboth creators of Jojo’s Dough (fusion of their two first names), came present this store. It was also an opportunity for them to remember the beginnings of their business.

« Pendant le Covid, on a both lost our jobs. We started to make cookies for our friends. We are told asked more and more so we started selling them from home,” Josie recalls.

They were following their adventure on the social networks and started to to bring together a real community !

A success to the point that we had to take the plunge: “We opened our first premises in Cannes and it has very good price. We then headed to Paris. We started to sell drinksso that people can settle in,” they add.

In January 2023, they opened the franchise proposals : “We received more than 700 requests “, they exclaim, still surprised.

Today they will soon reach 10 boutiques in France including that of Melun! “To say that thousands of people eat our cookies today, that people bear our name… It is amazing ! “, they smile.

Now in Melun, they have brought a very particular style : “This is our first store of its kind. We wanted to put a new decoration. » A space that is very aesthetic and that will undoubtedly please fans of photos for their social networks.

Catherine Stentelairedeputy in charge of Trade and Crafts, was present for this inauguration. “Jojo’s Dough is A nice story, very touching. We are proud that you chose Melun,” she explains. She even adds a touch of humor: “The mayor couldn’t be there, but he really likes your cookies! »

She then turns to Romain Arnaudthe franchisee, to thank him for embarking on the adventure. Interviewed by the editorial staff, he confided: “Before, I was a manager at Burger King. I wanted tohave my own company and run my own business,” he explains.

That’s when he discovered Josie and Jozef’s brand on social media. And everything happened very quickly: ” I liked it and I saw that it worked well, that people loved their products very much. I sent my CV and after a video call, I had to make my choice.

After nine months of preparation and one heart stroke for the store, they were able to open their colorful point of sale. On the menu: 10 selected cookie recipes by Romain. We can mention a cookie pistachio, another dedicated to the matcha tea et Red fruitsor one at speculoos.

Very thick, they are filled and melting. Far from the crispy cookie, they follow the wave of very soft and melting pasta. ” There is many curious people who came! At the same time, it is very pretty, and these are quality products “, Romain supports.

On the bill side, cookies are between 3.6 and 4.5 euros. The most highlighted rate concerns the box of 6 cookies that is to 24 euros. But if you come back to the store with this one, you have a 10% discount !

Obviously, it is possible to take hot drinks or else smoothies !
