The VGCA (Vals de Gartempe Creuse Anglin) association is organizing a flea market and garage sale on the banks of the Gartempe, Sunday July 7, 2024.
For about twenty years, this event has become a must for bargain hunters in the Val de Gartempe. The magnificent site of the former campsite, which has become a leisure area, and the large trees lining the river are certainly assets for the success of the Vicq-sur-Gartempe flea market. Three months ago, the land was under water, with the Gartempe reaching a level of 5.80 m, but since then the river has returned to its bed… and should stay there.
This year again, there will be around a hundred exhibitors, both professionals and individuals. François Bigot, the president, explains: “The association is fully booked! This Sunday, July 7, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., nearly 1,000 meters of exhibition space await visitors who will be able to do good business, while spending a pleasant day at the water’s edge, under the shade.”
Entrance is free, and visitors and exhibitors can eat with a meal tray (€10) and enjoy the refreshment bar. Exhibitors had to book before 1is July to have a location and they will be welcomed between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m.
