With 144 fans who meet every week to dance rock, tango, rumba and other ballroom dances, things are pretty lively at the Au Plaisir de la danse club in Offranville (Seine-Maritime).

President Arnaud Alexandre presented the figures during the general meeting which took place at the Espace Maupassant on Monday June 17, 2024.

From 86 members in 2022, the club has grown to 144 this season. Five courses are led by Didier Cornu and given such success, it was decided to open a sixth course for beginners next year.

Tuesday from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

This additional course will take place on Tuesdays from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The other courses will remain unchanged, as will membership, which is €70 for the year with a €19 contribution for membership to the French Dance Federation.

“We are the cheapest dance club in the area,” assure the board members.

To supplement the finances, the club organizes an evening and an afternoon dance during the year which are always a success.

The season ends this Tuesday, July 2, and classes will resume on September 2.

To register for the new course, go to the club’s Facebook page or the website: danseoffranville.fr.
