It is 6:45 p.m. when screams come to disturb the peace of the neighborhood. Alerted, the neighbors come out of their homes and realize that a tragedy has just occurred: a disemboweled man staggers in his yard.
Several of them showed courage and gave the father first aid. One of them testified: “It’s not something that happens every day, but we had enough composure to do the right thing. Some of the people present took care of calling the authorities, and we tried to keep the victim alive.“
It is a neighborhood conflict that has degenerated. A dispute which, according to our information, has been going on for several months already on Chemin des Acajous in Sainte-Clotilde.
The victim, aged around forty, was stabbed by his own neighbour, who lives in the house next door to his. At the time of the incident, the suspect was under the influence of alcohol.

The victim in a state of absolute emergency
In total, around thirty police forces were mobilised, as Cildric Morin, deputy departmental secretary of the Alliance Police Nationale union, points out: “The individual was disemboweled and injured in the arm, thigh and neck. Colleagues arrived quickly on the scene as well as RAID colleagues who subsequently proceeded to arrest the individual.“
The victim, who remained conscious until she was taken to the Bellepierre University Hospital, is in a state of absolute emergency. An investigation, led by the criminal investigation unit, has been opened to determine the precise circumstances of this tragedy.
