“The most effective and natural way” against pigeons
Nearly 18 months ago, in January 2023, a peregrine falcon nest box was installed in the north tower of the Saint-Etienne abbey church, in Abbaye-aux-Hommes. Why? Because falcons are formidable pigeon hunters.
The hunting flight of falcons is a deterrent and a source of discomfort for pigeons. They are the most effective and natural way to combat the proliferation of pigeons and the inconveniences that they can bring.
The nest box had been custom made by the City’s technical services “to better respond to the predator’s habits.”
