This makes 80 ans that the Departmental Association for the Protection of Children and Adolescents of Seine-et-Marne (ADSEA 77) exists. To celebrate this birthdaya special day will be organized on Wednesday November 27 (1 p.m. to 7 p.m.) at the Pierre Bachelet space in Dammarie-lès-Lys. The history of the association, its development and its roots in Seine-et-Marne will thus be highlighted.
On the program of festivities : theater, slam, dance, artistic works and surprise workshops for children and families supported throughout the year.
“This symbolic milestone will be an opportunity to present the actions carried out each year with our 7,000 beneficiaries, future projects and to thank our professionals and all the actors who contribute to the mission of our association.“, announces ADSEA 77 in a press release.
ADSEA 77 at the heart of controversies
Recognized as a public utility since 1971 and linked to Child Welfare (ASE), ADSEA 77 is a large association with 21 establishments and services located throughout the department and a budget of 50 million euros 95% financed by public funds. Every year, 7,000 peoplemainly children and adolescents, benefit from its support.
Unfortunately, this year 2024 will have been marked by the death of Myriam, a 14-year-old girl found dead in Fontainebleau last February after running away from a home in Melun. This structure was placed under the responsibility of ADSEA 77 which then found itself in the tormented. A drama which followed criticism of the governance of ADSEA 77 issued by employees in 2021. This protest led to the departure in 2022 of Yves Le Gal, the emblematic president of the association now led by Marie-Noëlle Villedieu.
