The four groups of “common base” in the National Assembly (Renaissance, LR, MoDem, Horizons) tabled on Monday, November 25, nearly a thousand amendments to the proposed law La France insoumise (LFI) aimed at repealing retirement at 64, debated Thursday in the hemicycle.
Almost all of the amendments tabled, i.e. 956, come from groups supporting the government of Michel Barnier, starting with the macronists of Ensemble pour la République (348), followed by the Republican Right (258), Modem (193) and Horizons (157). This total, which may further decline after elimination of amendments deemed inadmissible, could allow the central bloc to drag out the debates to delay or even prevent a vote on the bill.
First text on the agenda for the day reserved for the LFI group, the repeal of retirement at 64 must be examined on Thursday from this “niche” parliamentarian must stop at midnight whatever happens. “The Macronists want to prevent the vote”, quickly reacted the Insoumis deputy Antoine Léaument, estimating on the social network “faced with this obstruction, he [fallait] a parliamentary and popular response”.
