Outside the walls
One evening, four friends are gathered. Suddenly one confides his desire to “leave here”. This brief confession will test the balance and bonds of the group. A score chiseled on the truth of feelings.
Dutch author Magne van den Berg wields language like a weapon. Sharp and minimalist dialogues reveal in waves, the suffering, lies and hopes of her characters. The exchanges are made two by two, in private, in secret. Each protagonist thus holds a part of the truth and the story that is being composed before our eyes. Acid and hard-hitting, the play advances, at the whim of an irresistible butterfly effect, from comedy to tears. Carole Thibaut stages this gem with a cast of virtuoso performers.
