A 14-year-old teenager from Haut-Rhin was indicted on Sunday November 24 for one rape and three attempted rapes, according to France Bleu Alsace, which confirmed information from the Latest News from Alsace (DNA).
The young man was arrested on Friday November 22 after the establishment of a major police surveillance system, while several women had filed complaints for attacks in the Plaine sportive area of Mulhouse since the end of October.
To protect passers-by and joggers, police officers have taken turns, discreetly, in the area since mid-November. On the evening of November 22, they spotted a young man behaving suspiciously, checked him and found a cord in one of his pockets.
He was quickly taken into custody and confessed to the attacks, first explaining that he wanted to steal the cell phones. On Sunday, he was indicted for rape and attempted rape and then imprisoned in a prison with a juvenile section.
