The first international women’s beach soccer competition will be held from July 10 to 14 in Saïdia at the initiative of the Saïdia Girls Club association.
This sporting event, organized in partnership with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), will see the participation of eight women’s teams, including four European clubs, according to a press release from the association, reported by the MAP agency.
It is « New Team Beach Soccer » from Belgium, « Marseille Beach Team » of France, « Enpie Malaga Beach Soccer » from Spain and « Ilham Sports Group » from Portugal, as well as four national clubs: the Royal Armed Forces Sports Association, the Municipal Club of Laayoune, the Renaissance Sportive de Berkane and the Saïdia Girls Club.
This unprecedented national sporting event, which will be organized on the occasion of the Throne Day, is also part of the overall mobilization of the entire Moroccan society in anticipation of the organization of the 2030 FIFA World Cup, as part of the pioneering national sports project, which benefits from the high royal solicitude, the same source specifies.
Alongside this event, which will have an impact on the tourist influence of the city of Saidia on the one hand, and will contribute to the socio-economic development of the Oriental region on the other hand, a series of activities will be organized for the participating teams, in addition to a women’s football match for people with special needs.
