The 45-year-old coach, now a BEPF holder, will commit until June 2026 to Lyon, with an option for an additional year. It will be automatically exercised if he manages to meet a certain number of objectives. Sage has had a few requests abroad in recent weeks, but he has not followed up on them since his desire was to extend at Lyon, which gave him the chance to coach at the highest level.
Maciel, Rui Lemos and Valour join the staff
After the departures of one of his assistants Jérémie Brechet and the physical trainer Antonin Da Fonseca to Lille, as revealed by “L’Équipe”, he will see his staff strengthened by three technicians that he has chosen. The Portuguese Jorge Maciel and Rui Lemos have just reached an agreement with OL. The first arrives as an assistant, the second, poached from Braga, as physical trainer. This sector will also be strengthened by the signing of Denis Valour, an experienced trainer (58 years old).
