London’s Victoria & Albert Museum announces Taylor Swift exhibition this summer

La swiftmania continues to spread and has even taken over a museum across the Channel. The Victoria & Albert Museum (V&A), a major arts establishment located in the heart of London, recently announced that it would be offering a summer exhibition on the theme of… Taylor Swift!

Under the banner Taylor Swift : Songbook Trail (musical journey), the establishment will exhibit from July 27 to September 8 several objects, costumes, prizes and “iconic” outfits of the singer accumulated throughout her career, such as cowboy boots customized in 2007 or a black dress worn in the video for her hit Fortnight (2024).

Art et pop culture

The temporary exhibition, whose free entries already promise to attract many Swifties, will consist of a “13-step” route highlighting “special” moments in the singer-songwriter’s career. According to the museum’s website, the public will even be able to discover never before revealed archives on the singer’s childhood. The V&A hopes to attract many visitors by aligning the style and memories of the pop star with its architecture and some of its collections.

“Taylor Swift’s songs, like the objects, tell stories, often inspired by art, history and literature,” said Kate Bailey, Senior Curator of Theatre and Performance. “We hope this theatrical journey through the museum will inspire curious visitors to discover more about the artist, her creativity and the V&A’s objects.”

Everything you need to know about Taylor Swift

The 34-year-old singer is currently continuing her Eras Tour, a huge 152-date tour that began last year. The latter, which is a real global hit, already promises to be one of the most lucrative in the history of music.
