With its new bookshop opened on June 20, the Nice bookstore is setting out to conquer the Anglo-Saxon public on the Côte d’Azur.

Taken over in 2022 by Marie Serra, the bookstore at 55, rue Gioffrefo in Nice writes a new chapter in its history with the opening of its first annex. Dedicated to Anglo-Saxon works, this bookshop appointed Around the world, located 30 meters from the mother house, opened its doors on June 20.

At the helm, committed entrepreneur Thomas Collet.I am a book lover, I always told myself that one day I would open a bookstore. I met Marie Serra as part of the CJD (Club des jeunes dirigeantes de Nice), I was able to discover her profession, and the opportunity presented itself“To manage the store, Thomas Collet hired two bilingual employees, ready to showcase the 2,000 or so references in this 50m² bookstore.

From English classics to novels, poetry, personal development books, and even tourist guides, there is something for everyone, in order to attract a broad clientele in demand. “Between the large foreign community present on the Côte d’Azur all year round and tourism, there was a real need and therefore a market“, comments Thomas Collet. Winning bet: since its opening, the bookshop is always full and could well become the place to read in Nice for the Anglo-Saxon community on the Riviera.
