In Mayennemany voters went to the polls for this first round of the legislative elections, Sunday June 30, 2024. 68.3% of voters spoke.

Unlike the situation in many departments where the National Rally came out on top, they placed on the first step, in the three constituencies, the outgoing deputies of the majority or the left-wing union. Here are the results.

The results of the 1st district

First constituency: cantons of: Argentré, Bais, Evron, Laval Est, Laval Nord-Est, Laval Saint-Nicolas, Laval Sud-Ouest, Montsûrs, Pré-en-Pail, Villaines-la-Juhel.

Guillaume Garotoutgoing deputy and candidate of the left union, comes in first place with 45.39% of the votes. The RN candidate Paule Veyre de Soras is far behind with 28.59% of the votes, followed by Vincent Saulnier candidate of the presidential majority with 20.10%.

It’s a triangular shape that’s shaping up for the second round.

The results of the 2nd constituency

Second constituency: cantons of: Bierné, Château-Gontier Est, Château-Gontier Ouest, Cossé-le-Vivien, Craon, Grez-en-Bouère, Laval Nord-Ouest, Meslay-du-Maine, Saint-Aignan-sur-Roë , Saint-Berthevin, Sainte-Suzanne.

On the second constituency, Geraldine Bannier, outgoing deputy of the presidential majority obtains 35.17% of the votes. The RN candidate, Jean-Michel Cadenas has 31.79% followed by Gréogory Boisseau, candidate of the Left Union, 22.77%.

The latter withdrew in favor of the outgoing MP. The second round will see an RN presidential majority duel.

The results for the 3rd constituency of Mayenne

Third constituency: Cantons of: Ambrières-les-Vallées, Chailland, Couptrain, Ernée, Gorron, Le Horps, Landivy, Lassay-les-Châteaux, Loiron, Mayenne East, Mayenne West

On the third constituency, Yannick Favennecthe outgoing Ensemble MP, obtained 48.68% of the votes. Annie Bell, the RN candidate, had 31.11% and Stéphanie Lefoulon, for the Union of the Left, 19.18%.

She announced that she would withdraw in favour of the outgoing MP.

The second round will see Yannick Favennec and Annie Bell face off.
