The City of Drummondville and the Drummond Historical Society (SHD) are proud to announce the return of the Histoire en marche project, which offers guided tours of the city center thanks to the discovery trail and the mystery trail!
Building on their success in recent years and still free, these fun walks will be offered by reservation from June 20 to September 7, 2024 and will allow you to learn more about the history of Drummondville in the company of a guide-animator.
The discovery trail allows you to learn more about the history of Drummondville thanks to archive photos and a wealth of valuable historical information. However, you will need your help to learn more about some important historical figures! Crossing twelve significant places, the journey ends with a complete visit to the interior of St. George Church as well as its cemetery, one of the oldest in the region. This tour is offered from Thursday to Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
During the Mysteries tour, you will have the opportunity to learn more about some of Drummondville’s little-known stories. News items, incidents, rumors and sordid stories will be presented to you through a newspaper full of surprising headlines. However, your support will be required to resolve some dead ends! This tour is recommended for people aged 13 and over. This tour is offered from Thursday to Saturday at 6:30 p.m.
